A guided walk through Rickett’s Point beaches, foreshore and cliffs and learn about the fascinating significance of our local land and sea country.

Our Presenters are:


Professor John Buckeridge, PhD, FGS
John has lived in Beaumaris for 20 years. He is a world renowned palaeobiologist specializing in marine organisms and environmental philosophy. He has published more than 400 scientific books and articles and has authored more than a hundred new species.

Jade Pearson-Smith,
Jade Pearson-Smith is an ocean lover, Dive master and freediver and has a true passion for protecting our ocean. Jade has 20 years experience working in the not-for-profit and higher education sector and currently works in Advancement at Monash University. She is an expert in donor communication, philanthropy and tele-fundraising. She has recently returned from working with numerous marine conservation projects in communities across South Africa, Mozambique and Tanzania.

NOTE:
Beaumaris Yacht Club is located north of the Rickett’s Point Teahouse,not to be confused with the “Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron”.

Parking is available on Council carpark B17 ($18.00 for the whole day or $6.00 for an hour between 8am and 8pm). Free parking is available on the side streets on the other side of Beach Rd or directly on Beach Rd after 10am.
