Winter Solstice Foreshore Ramble Beach & Nature Photographer’s Walk

McGregor’s Rock to the Ricketts Point Tea House
Sunday 17 June – departs at 10am sharp
(each of the four walks is 10 only mins)

  1. 10 am Assemble at McGregor’s Rock for Ray Lewis’ Sea Country Walk
  2. Then walk to Banksia Point with Murray Orr while he talks ancient fossils in our unique marine sanctuary
  3. Next, walk the open cliffs with Professor John Buckeridge explaining the Geology of the local area
  4. Saving the best till last, walk and talk in the Barguuk Womens’ Garden with Betty Lewis who will educate us about Aboriginal Secret Women’s business, as well as indigenous plants and their uses

11am return to Ricketts Point Tea House for hot coffee, tea, chocolate, soup, a warm fire & congenial company

This will be a Zen walk, living completely in the present moment – mobile phones turned off or on silent; friendly, calm dogs welcome; ideal for photographers to capture local foreshore life.
